“Save water, Save Life”

Water is one of the elixirs of life. Earth being the only planet to be inhabited is because of this elixir. Every living organism requires atleast a drop of water to survive. Man especially requires water for various purposes. However, this God given natural resource is getting depleted, especially potable water. Deforestation and urbanisation have reduced the ground water which is leading to water scarcity. Unplanned and unauthorised construction has reduced the catchment areas. The day will not be far where people will fight over water rather than borders. Climatic changes have resulted in floods and droughts resulting in destruction of human life and land.

It is here that we should think and act wisely-learn to conserve nature and water. And what better way could it be than educating the younger generation about water conservation.

In this regard a seminar on “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” was held by CSR Anekal, on 31st Oct, 2019 at SFS High School. The Chief Guest was Shri. Rajiv Manjhi, IAS. The other invited guests included Shri Dinesh, KAS, Tahsildar Anekal Taluk, Shri. Shivanna, President Govt Staff Association, Shri Veerabhadrappa, Hon. Secretary of ELCIA. The seminar was arranged by Shri. Sai Prakash, Honorary Co-ordinator CSR Anekal, along with personal from the corporate sector and the press.

As a part of seminar, Shri Rajiv Manji planted saplings in the school premises and all the guests visited the RWH site in the school campus.
